Aluminum Cars (two) with plunger for Huki adj track systems

Aluminum Car Set of Two (one pair), enough for both sides of one cockpit heel plate.
Comes with three threaded holes in each car and two sets of six screws with nuts. One set of screws is longer than the other set, so you can get the right fit for the application on your Huki surfski.
Fits all Huki adjustable single footwell surfskis through all years and models.

Prior to the purchase of these parts, it is recommended that you remove your entire heel plate assembly and track system by unscrewing the four Philips screws found one at each end of each track. Memorize and mark the orientation of each track in the footwell. With the assembly now out of the footwell, pull the adjuster plungers and slide each track out of each car. Remove the three mounting screws from each car and examine the aluminum car for excessive wear and corrosion. If the material is no longer thick enough to hold a nut securely behind it, then the cars should be replaced. Examine the Carbon Fiber Heel Plate for excessive wear and corrosion. If it requires replacement, then the whole adjustable heel plate assembly with pedals, hinges, heel plate, cars and tracks should be replaced, and that is a different item in the online store.

When installing the six mounting screws into the new car, place the nuts on the ends of each screw on the back side of the car so that the nuts are between the car and the track, making sure that you have chosen the correct length of screw so as to have clearance for the car to move smoothly along the track. If even the short screws are too long, you must grind down each screw to clear the track.
